Assessment of territory development policy in Tunisia - 04/06/2011

"A workshop on the assessment study of territory development policy in Tunisia" is due to be held on June 7-8, 2011, at the initiative of the Transport and Equipment Ministry.
Co-organised with the Planning and International Co-operation Ministry and the French Development Agency (AFD), the workshop will provide the occasion for a consultation on the first phase of the study.
The study has been carried out by the Tunisian research department IDEA consult, the Tunisian STUDI branch and the French International Technical Engineering Group (INGEROP).
The study covering the last ten-year period was financed by the French Development Agency. It aimed to contribute to the improvement of the performance of the territorial development policy, notably in terms of efficiency, coherence and sustainability. Started in March 2011 and due to be completed in November 2011, the study is divided into 5 phases aiming at placing the Tunisian model compared with the different international experiences.
Representatives and experts belonging to institutional and governmental structures as well as specialised research departments and civil society components are to take part in this workshop.
They will present institutional, legal and technical recommendations aiming at improving the elaboration process, implementing and following up territory development policy. |
