Boosting micro-projects in needy regions -  16/03/2011

Tunisia Inter-Arab ENDA organisation for environment and development in developing countries and the Tunisia International Lions Clubs Association are to enhance their co-operation to create micro-projects in needy regions.

The two sides are planning to make the most, within this framework, of the "Inter-Arab ENDA" network which is present through 60 offices in the different regions of the country, to identify the priority regions in this field, as well as the targeted categories.

The Tunisia International Lions Clubs Association possesses, for its part, expertise and know-how in the field of youth training in the different fields and guidance in buoyant sectors.

The two sides also pointed out during a round table, held on Tuesday in Tunis, that granting micro-credits requires that beneficiaries be accompanied in carrying out their projects.

Representatives of the two organisations called for finding buoyant niches to create new projects, especially at this juncture characterised by rising unemployment in the inland regions, as a result of the return of more than 30,000 Tunisian nationals from Libya.

They underlined the need to create enterprises operating, notably, in the fields of security and transport.
